The calligraphy by Japanese calligrapher Soun Takeda has been newly adopted
as the "brand logo" of the Nihon no Meito.
The logo expresses a sense of authenticity and genuineness.
Soun Takeda says, "I have loved bath salts since I was a child and used them often”.
He says that he enjoyed choosing his favorite bath salts, and that the fragrance and color were important to him when choosing. Among the many bath salts available, "Nihon no Meito" is one of his favorite products. "I'm also interested in the packaging, " he said. It's fun to imagine the hot spring resort while reading the product package.
When Soun created the brand logo for Nihon no Meito, the first thing that came to mind was the relaxing feeling that only a hot spring can provide. However, while hot springs offer such a tranquil image, they also have the power that comes from the dynamic workings of the earth. Therefore, Soun repeatedly wrote and worried about his own dialogue in order to achieve both "relaxation" and "strength".
Finally, he came up with this brand logo. The logo is powerful and evocative of the commitment and authenticity of "Japan's famous hot springs. The "calligraphy" of Mr. Soun Takeda's particularity was completed, expressing the relaxing feeling of happiness and satisfaction that only a great hot spring can give.
The illustrations on the package were chosen from among the landscapes, buildings, and plants that symbolize hot spring resorts, as well as hot springs, with the advice of hot spring-related organizations that have officially approved "Nihon no Meito". Please enjoy the feeling as if you were in the hot spring resort.
